You can now get a taste of London on Potsdamer Platz in Berlin. KERB, the cult street food community from London, moved there in May 2025. Here’s what you can expect.
Food halls are all the rage worldwide – as uncomplicated meeting places offering dishes from all over the world, often in the atmosphere of shopping centers with neon signs and plastic trays. But what happens when the whole thing is turned upside down? When the concept is urban, cosmopolitan, and casual – with top-quality street food, hand-picked and curated, and a far cry from the uniform fare of food courts?

KERB in Berlin since May
The result is something like what opened in Berlin in May 2025: a new world of culinary delights on Potsdamer Platz that sounds more like London or Brooklyn than bratwurst with mustard.
In the hallowed halls of the former cinema on Potsdamer Platz, popcorn is no longer being munched, but hearty feasts are being enjoyed. KERB, the cult street food community from London, is moving in. And not just anywhere, but in a 2,200 square meter space spread over two floors, with twelve vendors and plenty of creative fare for urban foodies. It’s open daily from noon, with cooking until 10 p.m.
The new food hall is like a culinary adventure playground for anyone who wants to try international flavors. And if you think it’s just the usual burger-pizza-bowl combo, think again. Three of the first concepts already make it clear: this is about flavor with character.

The first three concepts
Butter Bronsons – Berlin market veteran with a knack for buttermilk fried chicken burgers in fluffy brioche buns. After years on the road at events, they’ve finally settled down – with everything fried, juicy, and spicy.
Pick & Cheese – Cheese on a conveyor belt? Sounds absurd, but it works great. Here, cheese platters with chutney, bread, fruit, and dips circulate on the conveyor belt, accompanied by matching wine. An experience somewhere between a break with convention and a delicatessen – wonderfully quirky, wonderfully delicious.
Jian Bing Town – China’s breakfast star comes to Berlin: Jianbing crêpes made from mung bean batter, filled with everything your heart and stomach could desire. Crispy wheat chips meet sweet bean paste, sprouts, and spring onions. Once you’ve tried it, you’ll never want toast again.
