Techno, a Sp\u00e4ti (Berlin&#8217;s late-night corner shop, cold beer included), that one weird night in Neuk\u00f6lln you only half remember. And what makes it onto the shelf back home? A fridge magnet.<\/strong> <strong>Don&#8217;t fret. We know some unique souvenirs from Berlin that will keep the memories alive.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Sounds harsh, but it&#8217;s the data. At visitBerlin&#8217;s <strong>Berlin Tourist Infos<\/strong>, magnets outsell everything else by a wide margin, around 35 percent. More than a third of all souvenirs is a printed scrap of metal that ends up pinning pizza flyers to the fridge. The rest of the ranking:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Magnets: ~35 percent<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Postcards: 14 percent<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Keychains: 11 percent<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Wall pieces: 7 percent<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Mugs: 5 percent<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Postcards <\/strong>in second, even though the last real one probably went out in 2009. Pieces of the Berlin Wall in fourth, a world-historic moment sold in chunks the size of a gum stick. The <strong>TV Tower<\/strong>, <strong>Brandenburg Gate<\/strong>, <strong>East Side Gallery<\/strong>, the concrete icon <strong>ICC<\/strong>, and the <strong>Funkturm radio tower<\/strong>, which turns 100 this year. Instead of grabbing a ready-made mini gate, you build your own Berlin. Grown-up Lego meets city tourism. The strangest one might be <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breathofberlin.com\/collections\/duefte\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">&#8220;Breath of Berlin&#8221;<\/a>, a perfume that comes in a TV-Tower-shaped bottle. Berlin as a scent. We&#8217;ll stay quiet about how it actually smells.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The local stuff ties into the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.visitberlin.de\/de\/crafted-in-berlin\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">&#8220;Crafted in Berlin&#8221;<\/a> initiative, which spotlights goods from actual Berlin workshops.
