Snowy (and lonely) landscapes, fresh mountain air and proximity to ski slopes make this a special kind of trip. But there are a few things to keep in mind to make your winter adventure a success. Here are our top tips for a successful winter camping trip.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-the-right-equipment-is-essential\">The right equipment is essential<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A winterized motorhome is the basis for any winter camping adventure. Make sure that your <strong>water pipes <\/strong>and <strong>tanks <\/strong>are sufficiently heated. If the waste water tank cannot be heated inside, leave the drain tap open and place a bucket underneath \u2013 this way you can then dispose of the waste water efficiently and more easily as a block of ice. Plan on about two to three days for every 11 kilograms of gas, depending on the size of the vehicle, insulation and outside temperature. It&#8217;s worth its weight in gold. It protects the entrance area from snow and cold winds and provides space for drying wet clothes. Of course, it&#8217;s also a great place to store equipment from snowshoeing, skiing or sledding. <strong>Frost-proof power cables <\/strong>are also part of the basic equipment. After all, it is more than pleasant when the sanitary facilities are heated, there are drying rooms for ski clothing and \u2013 what a luxury \u2013 even saunas.
